Pre-Winter Reading List

I read to write. I think many writers do.

My nightstand is always piled with books I want to read or that I feel I should read for one reason or another. It has become a habit for me to read more than one book at a time; at the moment there are 11 I am making my way through. They are as follows:

The Mysterious Benedict Society – Trenton Lee Stewart
Candide – Voltaire
Hope and Other Dangerous Pursuits – Laila Lalami
Maps of the Imagination: The Writer as Cartographer – Peter Turchi
Tikkun Reader – Ed. Michael Lerner
The Complete Books of Charles Fort – Charles Fort
Anne Wilson: Wind/Rewind/Weave – Ed. Susan Snodgrass
William Kentridge: Five Themes – ed. Mark Rosenthal
The Invention of Hugo Cabret – Brian Selznick
The Fountainhead – Ayn Rand
The Remains of the Day – Kazuo Ishiguro

MY GOAL: To finish all the books listed before the Winter Solstice. That gives me approximately 38ish days. Better get a move on.

Good thing I’m more than half way through most of them ;)!
